I'm Christopher and I've been working specifically with curly and natural hair since I moved to pittsburgh in 2013.
What I love about working with curly hair is the unpredictability. Those with curly, wavy and natural hair know!
(and have often led to feel & believe they don't have good curls, or that it wouldn't look good on them).
I enjoy looking at a persons curly hair, seeing all the good and challenging parts combined with what a client wants and needs their curls to do, then create a solution.
Bringing out the best in someones natural curly hair, in a style and cut that leaves you knowing its going to look good... no matter what the curls want to do that day!
These things can't be rushed. Successful Curly hair takes time and a plan. A Curly Specialty cut with Christopher is always one on one, never double booked and focused on your hair for the hour and a half to two hour service. (Curly cuts only need to be done roughly 4 times per year for most)
Communication is key, so be ready for lots of questions about what you use and how you use it (its a safe space, so this isn't a product sales pitch time), what your lifestyle is like. Past challenges and success, are all combined into what we create together.
Simplicity is best. While social media is very entertaining and can be educational sometimes, we know its affects on self esteem. You'll be leaving all that at the door with Christopher, simple easy steps to start and solutions for you that work.
How to arrive for your Specialty Curly Cut or Color Service
Arrive with Dry, Detangled hair no more than 2 days since washing. Feel Free to use any styling products you would normally use but refrain from using any curling wands, ponytails, clips or pins as Christopher wants to see your hair in its natural curly state.
